Bacheldre Watermill
About
Bacheldre Watermill produces a range of organic and traditional flours, using traditional equipment, some of which is hundreds of years old. Most of our flours are strong and excellent for bread machines and hand baking.
Artisan Millers of Exceptional Flour
Welcome to historic Bacheldre Watermill. First recorded in 1575, as part of an Elizabethan estate, the mill was rebuilt in 1575.
Today the Scott family maintain the mill with its watermill and French Burr millstones.
Bacheldre Watermill uses a blend of old and new equipment to produce the finest flour possible.
Time is taken to sourse the best grains possible which are then slowly and gently stoneground in order to produce flours with all the goodness of the wheatgerm.
This slow milled process only slightly warms the flour leaving all the natural flavours intact.
Bacheldre Wagermill is proud to present to you flours of exceptional taste and quality and hope that you enjoy baking with them.

Benefits of Stoneground
There are several advantages to stoneground wheat flour. The endosperm, bran and germ remail in their natural and original proportions. The Millstones grind slowly and this means the wheatgerm is not exposed to excessive temperatures.
